Great Shelves

"Was somewhat skeptical after seeing some issues with shipping quality but glad I took the risk. Maybe it was 1-2 bad shipments, but the quality and security of the components being shipped was very good. Not sure if MUJI added support/protection for the material, but it arrived in very protected boxes from NJ. For the shelves themselves, they are awesome. My wife and I love the metal bracings combined with the light oak shelves. The customization options to layout the shelves is also a plus, in case we need to change it up in the future. The first shelf took a few moments to figure out, but once you understand the mounting mechanism the rest of the shelves were a breeze. I took my time, but it too k more time to unbox and unwrap the shelves than it did to assemble it. Perfect system for a wide range of uses, from kitchen storage to clothes, shoes, and display."

Good Experience

"I was hesitant to purchase this shelf due to the reviews from late 2025 but decided to gamble/purchase it in April 2026. The order arrived to California within two weeks from New Jersey. I'm very pleased with the quality and design of the shelf and the relative ease of its assembly. I hope this means that the issues customers were facing in 2025 have begun to reach a resolution!"

I wouldn't buy again

"These are nice, but the buying process was horrible. I originally bought two units while they were on sale. It took over a month to ship and then only one unit arrived. It then took another two weeks to have someone at Muji do something about it, at which point they refunded me for one shelf, but the refund didn't cover the cost of buying a second unit since they were no longer on sale. It then took another two weeks for them to get back in stock for me to order the second one. This one shipped quickly, which was nice, but only the metal frame was shipped; it didn't have the shelves. It then took another week or two to get into contact with someone at Muji that could address my issue and they quickly shipped the shelves. I really like the shelving unit, but dealing with Muji's horrible AI customer service was not worth it. I don't recommend it. It's not worth the headache."

"Hi Muji, I never received the 2nd shipment for this item after contacting you in September - I am missing the steel frame and assembly parts. Waiting to hear back; love these shelves. Thanks."

Missing half parts of the items of the shelve

"They took over three weeks to deliver this piece and arrived with half of the pieces missing. I reached out to the customer service of Muji but it took more than one month to get response and they told me that they are not able to deliver the missing piece…. It was very disappointing because I was very excited to get this shelve."

Good quality, fasteners could be cleaner

"This system and the design in general are excellent. Assembling all the units is easy as well. However, the fit & finish of the fastening brackets is very hard to make flush & perfect, and as a result some of them may look a little askew (although function perfectly)."
