Wide hakama pants based on the traditional Japanese outfit, simplified into a design that is easy to move around in and can be worn everyday. These pants feature a side opening with a stretchy back waist band to allow for flexibility and movement throughout the day. 

Made from a blend of wool and recycled polyester, with a brushed surface for a soft and warm texture. 

Note: Thread is sewn to the bottom of the pants to keep the pleats organized while being transported. Please remove them before your first wear.

    "Love these pants! Roomy, warm and stretchy waist <3 solid construction and neat stitching as well. I do love these pants but I do wish they had 2 pockets instead of 1 and that they were lined. For reference, I am 5’2’’ wear 8-12Petit American jean sizing and am quite curvy. The pleats of these Hakama pants do emphasize my butt a bit. I wear these high waisted so I ordered a L, otherwise if I were to wear them lower at hip level, I would have ordered XL."

    Comfrotable and stylish even for the winter

    "Wanted to get these specifically for winter wear and I've gotten a lot of compliments. I typically wear a size 14 pant, and they ran out of the large, and risked getting the medium. Def a snug fit, but somehow still too long for my height (5'0). Had to shorten the pants slightly, but great otherwise."

    For the price. . . it's just OK

    "For that price, the extra button should come pre-sewn somewhere into the garment. Customer should not have to sew the button somewhere in the inside so it's available when a button gets lost. It's also about three inches too long. Fine if you're 5'6" or taller, I guess, but too many of us aren't. That means additional costs to have the garment shortened."

    Comfort and style

    "I bought these pants because I love the way traditional hakama look and this contemporary version is fantastic. They are extremely comfortable. I usually wear a US women’s size 12-14 and got the XL. They fit high on my waist with plenty of flowing fabric through the legs. The length falls to mid-calf so looks great with low shoes or mid to high boots. The fabric is soft and light. I really love the way these look and feel. I highly recommend these pants!"

    "I like these more than the polyester version. I stitched the hem to keep the pleats for a different look. The fabric is much more comfortable whereas the poly version prob will keep the pleats better."
