Seasonal Part Time Sales Associate

MUJI U.S.A. LIMITED is actively seeking a Seasonal Part Time Sales Associate across our MUJI New York locations: 59th Street, Times Square, Chelsea Market, 5th Avenue, Hudson Yards, Chelsea, Soho, and Cooper Square. The primary responsibility of the sales associate is to provide excellent customer service to MUJI customers. Staff must be proactive and excel in a multi-tasking environment which is constantly changing. Staff should be eager to learn as MUJI carries over 7000 products. Ideal sales associates will be well versed in MUJl's philosophy and possess a love for its products. Staff are sometimes required to lift and transport heavy items. Minimal computer knowledge is necessary.

Sales and Customer Service

• Opening and closing the store
• Balancing cash register
• Changing displays
• Restocking

• Receiving

General

• Maintain department and stock room, as well as drive sales
• Quickly resolve and/or communicate any issues or problems with management to find appropriate resolution

Knowledge and Skills

Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience advantageous
• Previous cash handling experience desirable
• Ability to move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shifts of up to 8 hours

Hours Preference

Due to the busy nature of retail, all employees should enjoy a flexible working schedule and are required to work one weekend day. This job description is designed to help communicate the role. Seasonal Employment Period: October 12, 2026 – January 15, 2027

Starting Rate: $17.00
