    Great dust bin but. . . .

"The product is excellent, having bought one already. I ordered one for a christmas gift for a friend. We wrapped the shipping box, and stuck it under the tree. Come Christmas day, it was opened, only to discover it was broken. The internal packing was practically non-existent. Nothing to hold it in place or keep it from being jostled. The shipping box was in perfect shape. So that was a bummer. Trying to return it was worse (so far). I've heard nothing from Muji since i submitted my request, and i included a picture. I was mortified that a gift was broken as it is, and now even more so as i struggle to replace it. Realizing that the return process was going to be an ongoing struggle, i ordered another one. We'll see if it too arrives broken. The in-store experience has good customer service, but the on-line experience is not good at all."

    Solid quality as usual. Very

"Solid quality as usual. Very quiet looking, easy to fit into a corner. The structure for opening the lid is not super tight. Sometimes it doesn’t close, sometimes it disconnects. But overall it’s a very good product."

Buy if you are both wealthy and masochistic

"Never in my life have I encountered a kitchen appliance that is so tremendously effective at being inconvenient in every single way imaginable. This trash can is a feat of nature: it employs countless failsafes designed to prevent your garbage from reaching the trash bag where it belongs. Assuming your trash bag is successfully held in place by the flimsy metal clamp at all, there hide a plethora of crevices that exist only to enhance the perceived functionality of this trash can which will capture your trash scraps and refuse to let go. If your trash makes it past the small, difficult to clean ridges on the lid and upper lip of the bin, it will surely slip through the sizeable gap between the trash bag and the can's wall, where it will fall to rest into one of four deep, inescapable quadrants sunken deep into the trash can's floor. These quadrants have not only a penchant for capturing wayward trash like moths to flame, but a fascinating quality of producing unimaginable mold and rot out of even the driest, most miniscule, unassuming crumbs of food waste. As you crouch on the floor, soaked to the ankles in 409 cleaning spray and bleach, face masked to block the stench, picking breadcrumbs one-by-one from the bottom of the bin, a single thought will inevitably plague your mind. For you have spent nearly forty-five dollars on this deceptive contraption, nearly a day's labor for the average American worker, yet now you kneel before it in subservience, sacrificing yet more of your precious time to its maintenance and care. Even the cloying comfort of a transient sale cannot account for the claws that this product will sink into your very being. Time is money, and the cost of this product, already egregious, is nothing compared to the sacred hours that you will spend on this rot-soaked vessel. You can become a person beyond your reverence of false luxury. We deserve better than to crawl at the feet of false idols. The Apple 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter, white and clean and shining like this trash can, costs $59. 00 prior to tax at your local Best Buy. When it inevitably breaks, you will buy another. You will charge your white phone with the white charger at the white outlet on the white wall next to your white trash can, poorly concealing a bed of rotted mixed greens and a humming nest of fruit flies living more luxuriously than you. And you will not think. You will not feel. Do not be fooled by this illusion of convenience and modernity. In the pursuit of minimalism, you will have sold yourself to the very system, wretched and exploitative, that minimalism sought to eliminate. Enlightenment is not encased within white polypropylene walls. Like literally just go to the dollar tree or something theyve got little bins that do the trick and they'll cost exactly as much as you'd expect"
