2nd purchase of more appetizer plates

"Made in Japan! Need bigger size. Waiting for dinner plate to be back in stock."

    broken but no solution.

"Received broken plates. I wrote to customer service immediately and heard back. But no solution provided. No refund or replacement. Nice plates thought."

    Guang Y. (1/5)

    Well packaged and beautiful

"I was hesitant to order online but gave it a try. Everything arrived intact, very well packaged. They are beautiful as expected"

    Lee L. (5/5)

    Snack size

"When you want a snack but don’t want a giant plate, this is perfect. It holds just enough and it just beautiful to hold and look at. I only have white dishes, but I like the very subtle color on these. I want to swap out all my old white plates for the Muji ones now."

    Too expensive now

"I actually love these plates, however I went online to order more and the 5. 7" went from $3. 90 to $6. 90 and is now entirely unaffordable."

    Second purchase!

"We own the small, large, and extra large sizes of these plates - 4 each. I replaced Corelle with them. These plates are heftier, wash easily and well, and retain heat and coolness well. We hand-wash everything as we don't have a dishwasher so I cannot attest to their dishwasher stability, but as long as you don't drop them in a porcelain sink they don't chip!"

Great product, poor stocking + communication

"I love this series, but the lunch plate in particular is indispensable. It it well made, does not chip easily, microwaves well and can withstand a good deal of abuse, including the microwave. My issue is the consistent unpredictability of stock: I have 6-8 each of a variety of dishware and I replace each item as needed over time. The series' utility and unchanging design has negated the need for me to ever purchase another other dinner set. However, the above setup only works as long as I can buy the items I need *when* I need them. I never receive emails to notify me of restocks and my form submissions to the site for product inquiry re: this plate, other items in the white porcelain line and many other products have not been answered over the last 5 years. (I'm still waiting to hear back about the white porcelain yunomi, for instance) I am resigning myself to asking friends and relatives in Japan to buy items for me or doing so when back home. I've even occasionally made purchases through MUJI's Rakuten outlet storefront. I truly hope that MUJI US fixes their supply + communication issues because it's been rather frustrating to wait 2 years just to replace a pair of plates."

"Love these although they do chip. PLEASE BRING BACK THE LARGE (12") DINNER PLATE!"

"A perfect item that I can use everyday for anointing of oil!!!"

    Q&A

    where are these plates manufactured?
Hi gk101, our White Porcelain Dishes are made in Japan. Hope this answers your question! ^KS
Are these dishes and bowls matte or glossy finish?
The white porcelain bowels and dishes have a glossy finish to them.
Are these suitable as dinner plates or they intended to be shallow bowls? Do you make the "Beige porcelain plate" in white, too?
The plates are suitable as dinner plates. Beige Porcelain does not come in the white color. It's beige because no additional coloring process was done, the dishware featured the original color of the porcelain.
The fourth picture shows 5 plates but only 4 sizes are offered (XS, S, M, & L). What plates in the picture are which?
The three plates in the front from left to right XS, S, M. The plates in the back from left to right L, XL. XL plates are sold out.
